The Savage Scholar program was instituted in 2016, and is funded by a generous endowment provided by the leadership of Savage Services, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Each year a Savage Scholar team is selected from a group of highly qualified applicants. Marriott School students can apply to the program near the end of their first year, after enrolling in MBA 632. The teams start work their second year of the MBA program. This work includes an international consulting experience (in the international country) in January of the MBA second year.
