The undergraduate program provides students with strong preparation for careers in GSCM.

Undergraduate GSCM Program Courses

Required program courses in the GSCM Junior Core – first Fall semester

  • GSCM 401: Operations Management.  Learn how to plan and execute world-class production systems.
  • GSCM 402 : Quality Management.  Learn to solve real-world problems using quality management concepts and tools.
  • GSCM 403 : Purchasing and Supply Management.  Learn about developing relationships with suppliers at home and abroad.
  • GSCMM 404 : Supply Chain Logistics.  Learn about transportation, warehousing, and product distribution.

Quantitative methods (take one) – Winter semester

  • GSCM 412 : Operations Analytics.  Learn how to use quantitative tools and Excel to solve interesting supply chain and operations problems.
  • MSB 325 : Introductory Business AnalyticsThis is the general online analytics course offered by the Marriott School – not specifically tied to GSCM.

GSCM electives (take at least two) – Winter semester

  • GSCM 411 : Global Business Negotiations.  Learn how to conduct effective cross-cultural negotiations in challenging global contexts.
  • GSCM 414 : Introduction to Sustainable Business.  Learn how companies can design their operations and supply chains to be more environmentally friendly.
  • GSCM 419 : Customer Relationship Management (formerly Services Management).  Learn how to design and manage the customer-service aspects of supply chains including service strategy, service process design, and service quality.
  • GSCM 585 : Research in GSCM.  Learn how to conduct scholarly research to answer difficult questions. This course also can help prepare students to apply to PhD programs.

GSCM Capstone course – subsequent Fall semester

Required after completing the GSCM Junior Core and an Internship:

  • GSCM 429 : Global Supply Chain Strategy.  Learn supply chain strategies that can increase competitiveness in the market.

GSCM students admitted to the Marriott School Fall semester should take the GSCM Junior Core that semester (and can graduate after a minimum of 3 semesters starting with the Junior Junior Core).  GSCM students admitted to the Marriott School Winter semester need to wait until the following Fall semester to take the GSCM Junior Core, and may take GSCM electives in the meantime (this is minimum 4-semester program for Winter admissions).
