The following are GSCM program funding needs for this next school year, none of which are covered by university funds.  You have the option of sponsoring a specific activity, or donating to the general GSCM fund (which allows us to allocate the funds as necessary).

If you would like to donate, please contact Stephanie Graham or go to http://marriottschool.byu.edu/giving/gscm

Needs relating to the undergraduate GSCM Core:

  • $1,600 for GSCM Core orientation luncheon.
  • $900 for GSCM Core professional photographs.
  • $1,500 for GSCM Core shirts (builds program identity) and an item with the sponsor’s logo, such as a water bottle.
  • $1,000 for GSCM Core activities (e.g. plant tours that are part of a class).

Total: $5,000 to sponsor the above GSCM Core activities.  Sponsor’s logo goes on an item for the students, and the sponsor is recognized at funded GSCM Core Orientation.

An additional funding need…

  • $6,000 for the GSCM Junior Core Retreat.  Since 2017, this overnight retreat has been held at BYU Timp Lodge in Provo Canyon.  In 2022 the retreat will be held at Spring Haven.  The purpose is to build the rapport among the new students at the start of the program, thus realizing benefits of great commitment during the program and after graduation.  Sponsorship includes the opportunity for the sponsor to attend the retreat and have early interaction with the new group of students.  This is a unique opportunity to build brand among the GSCM students.  Click here for more information about the GSCM Junior Core Retreat.

Needs relating to the MBA GSCM program:

  • $2,100 for MBA GSCM rafting trip vans.  Rafting trip is the orientation activity for incoming MBA GSCM students.  Students pay about $300 for rafting, food, and campground reservations, but we provide transportation.
  • $1,900 for MBA SCOA club shirts (Supply Chain and Operations Association).

Total: $4,000 to sponsor these MBA kickoff activities.

  • $5000 for MBA SCOA Springhaven Retreat.  This January event allows MBA GSCM students to spend time two days at the BYU Springhaven lodge networking with professionals (maybe you), interacting with a keynote speaker, developing leadership skills, and building on the unity within the program.  In January 2018 the SCOA leadership is working to build the relationship between the BYU MBA program and Silicon Slopes, the Utah-base VC consortium, and help broaden connection to tech-related supply chain fields.
