In Case You Missed It: Supply the Chain and Tech Night (Pictures Included)

This past Thursday, the Global Supply Chain Association (GSCA) hosted two events.

First, was Supply the Chain in which we attempted to break the record for the longest paper chain in an hour. While we didn’t reach our goal, we were able to make a paper chain which stretched 0.7 miles between the Wilkinson Center and the Tanner Building. Additionally, we were able to promote Global Supply Chain Management and the GSCA to hundreds of students. All in all, we consider this event a great success! Here are some pictures of the fun we had!

Keep reading to hear about the success of our Tech Night and to learn why it’s worthwhile to attend.

Later that evening we had a Tech Night lead by Senior, Adam Denison. He helped to provide extremely valuable tips and guided great discussions between Juniors and Seniors.

This Tech Night was focused on resume and interview prep. We understand that this is a heavily emphasized topic during recruiting season. However, Juniors agreed that this was a great opportunity to talk with Seniors and to understand how they applied these skills in their internship search last year. It provided a great opportunity to network with Seniors and ask them questions about anything and everything.

Here are some pictures from that event:

Future Tech Night topics will include:

  • Excel
  • Data Visualization
  • And more

We will also have the opportunity to learn from guests with careers in Supply Chain Management.

Join us next time! You won’t want to miss this great opportunity to expand your technical skills and network with others.

As always, we look forward to seeing you at future events!
