Savage Services VP’s visit their Savage Scholar students

On March 20, 2017, Nathan Savage and Howard Goodman, two VP’s of Savage Services, came and visited with the BYU MBA Savage Scholar’s. Nathan Savage was the Savage Services executive who felt impressed to create an endowment for BYU’s MBA program. He had to convince his family members and coworkers that this was a worthy cause. We are grateful for his decision. Howard Goodman spoke to us about leadership and what makes Savage Services different from other companies. They are a company that is known for their integrity. When Savage Services considers expanding, one of the considerations they make is whether or not they can function ethically and honestly in an area. If they feel the answer is no, they don’t expand.

Savage Services began in 1946. It was not until the 1970’s that they began to have formal, written contracts. Prior to this, all agreements had been sealed with a handshake. Savage Services now has lawyers, but that legacy of honesty and integrity remains.
